Silk Skirts: My 3 Staple Colours

I am LOVING silk skirts at the moment. I haven't actually seen many people wearing them but they are in lots of shop windows and I know that once the weather picks up, they will be everywhere. You have been warned.

I recently bought a couple (four) in different colours so I thought I would put together a little round -up of my favourite looks and how I would style them.

The White Silk Skirt

This I thought so 'Riviera'. That is really the word that springs to my mind when I see or wear white silk or white linen. It just reminds me of romantic summer evenings or going out for dinner on holiday.

This looks could a smart casual look for the day time or with a smarter top could be good for a smarter dinner look. I thought the pink heels were a fun pop of colour and made the look a bit more interesting and young.

The Pink Silk Skirt

This is my favourite skirt and I wish I could wear it every day. It is such a gorgeous colour and even just looking at it puts in a good mood. I am such a pink girl but I think even if you're not you would love this skirt. I think the aspect I love the most about this skirt is just the way it falls. I really struggle with wearing long skirts as I am quite short, but I love the length of these skirts.

I just threw on a white t-shirt as I wanted to create a casual look. I would wear this skirt to work, to see friends and generally just everywhere! I love the silk skirt with a casual t-shirt and jumper look, I think it looks so nice and relaxed, but also really pretty. For the shoes, I thought these metallic silver shoes really complemented the metallic vibe of the pink skirt as well!

The Black Silk Skirt

I think this look is my 'Wednesday Addams' look. It's not my every day look but sometimes I really feel like a more grungy, laid-back outfit. This black skirt is such a great staple for your wardrobe. It looks just as amazing with trainers as it does with heels.

This time I decided to just put on my Vegan Doc Martins and this gorgeous black jumper that has statement puff sleeves. Quite Gothic but I think a really striking with a modern twist!

Let me know which look is your favourite - I think mine if definitely the pink (you could probably already tell).
